Pastoral Council

Chairperson: Theresa Phillips

The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to promote community, to be a sign and witness of unity and to assist the Pastor in pastoral planning.  The Council serves as a consultative body to the Pastor on policy formation, recommendations and reconsiderations regarding spiritual, educational, social and financial issues while operating in accordance with the teachings of the Church, Church law, civil law, and known diocesan policies.

Pastoral Council members need to be individuals of faith who can lead a parish in discernment, expression and fulfillment of its mission.  Ideally, they are people of vision, open to the workings of the Holy Spirit in and through themselves while having a deep respect and openness for the workings of the Spirit in others.
