Announcements for Aug 30 th and 31 st

1. Volunteer needed to help with the gift shop for the 4pm Mass. If interested, please call the office.
2. Registration for the upcoming faith formation year is open. Please pick up your registration forms in the gathering space or at the Religious Education office.
3. The Office for the Dead will be prayed this coming Friday, September 5 th . Join in praying for our deceased family and friends at 5am, 9am and 7pm during Liturgy of the Hours.
4. The First Friday of the Month Mass is also this Friday, September 5 th , at 7:00am.
5. This year, our annual Liturgy on the Green is Sunday, September 14 th . Mass will begin at 10am at Heritage Park, followed by food and fellowship. Please bring your own chairs. The regular 8am Mass is cancelled for that day. On Saturday, September 13th, Mass will be celebrated at 4pm only. The 6pm Mass is cancelled for that day. Please see the bulletin or website for details.
6. The office will be closed this Monday, September 1st, in honor of Labor Day. The 5:15pm Daily Mass for that day will still occur.
7. Next weekend’s second collection is for the Seminarian Education Fund. We are blessed to have nine young men studying in preparation for the priesthood -all from Northern Nevada. We still need to continue to foster vocations in our diocese and continue to support the young men who are in the seminary. Thank you for your generosity.

4. Este año, la Misa al aire libre se llevará a cabo el domingo 14 de septiembre a las 10:00am. La Misa comenzará a las 10am en Heritage Park, seguida de comida y compañerismo. Por favor traigan sus propias sillas. La Misa regular de las 8am se cancela para ese día. El sábado, 13 de septiembre, la Misa se celebrará solo a las 4pm. La Misa de las 6pm se cancela para ese día. Consulten el boletín o el sitio web para obtener más detalles.
5. La oficina va a estar cerrada este lunes 1 de septiembre en honor al Día del Trabajo. La Misa diaria de las 5:15pm para ese día se llevará a cabo.
6. La segunda colecta del próximo fin de semana es para la Educación Seminarista. Tenemos la bendición de tener a nueve jóvenes estudiando en preparación para el sacerdocio, todos del norte de Nevada. Todavía tenemos que seguir fomentando las vocaciones en nuestra diócesis y seguir apoyando a los jóvenes que están en el seminario. Gracias por su generosidad.

3. Next weekend’s special collection is to provide humanitarian relief and pastoral support for our affected brothers and sisters in Gaza and surrounding areas in the Middle East.
4. The office will be closed on Monday, September 1st, in honor of Labor Day. The 5:15pm Daily Mass for that day will still occur.
5. SAVE THE DATE. This year, Liturgy on the Green at Heritage Park will be held on Sunday, September 14 th , at 10:00am. Please see the bulletin or website for details.

2. There is a Eucharistic Minister meeting this coming Thursday, August 21st at 6:00pm here in the church. This is a refresher and training for all current ministers, and a welcome for anyone new. If you’ve been thinking about becoming a Eucharistic Minister, we warmly invite you to attend and learn more.
3. Funeral Mass for Marilou Wickersham is this Tuesday, August 19 th , at 11:30am.
4. It’s Hospitality Weekend! We invite you to stop by the gathering space after Mass to enjoy some refreshments, catch up with friends, and maybe even introduce yourself to someone new.
5. Next weekend (August 23 rd and 24 th ), we welcome a special guest for our annual Mission Appeal: the bishop from the Diocese of St. John Chrysostom in Gurgaon, Delhi, India. This diocese of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church serves a vast region—22 states and 3 Union Territories across Northern and North-Eastern India. As a young diocese still laying its foundations, it faces the enormous task of building parishes, mission centers, and essential infrastructure from the ground up. Your prayers, support, and generosity can help sustain this vital mission and bring hope to countless lives. The second collection next weekend will be dedicated to this Mission Appeal. If donating by check, please make it payable to St Gall and note Mission Appeal 2025 in the memo line.

2. Habrá una reunión para ministros de la Eucaristía este jueves 21 de agosto a las 6:00pm aquí en la iglesia. Esta reunión servirá como repaso y capacitación para los ministros actuales, y también como bienvenida para los nuevos. Si han estado considerando ser ministro de la Eucaristía, los invitamos cordialmente a asistir y conocer más sobre este ministerio.
3. La Misa fúnebre por Marilou Wickersham es este martes, 19 de agosto, a las 11:30am.
4. Los invitamos a que pasen por el espacio de reunión después de la Misa para disfrutar de algunos refrescos, platicar con amistades y tal vez incluso presentarse a alguien nuevo.
5. El próximo fin de semana (23 y 24 de agosto), damos la bienvenida a un invitado especial: el obispo de la Diócesis de San Juan Crisóstomo en Gurgaon, Delhi, India, estará aquí para compartir un llamamiento misionero. Esta diócesis de la Iglesia Católica Siria de Malankara sirve a una vasta región: 22 estados y 3 Territorios de la Unión en el norte y noreste de la India. Como diócesis joven que aún está sentando sus cimientos, se enfrenta a la enorme tarea de construir parroquias, centros misioneros e infraestructura esencial desde cero. Sus oraciones, apoyo y generosidad pueden ayudar a mantener esta misión vital y llevar esperanza a innumerables vidas. La segunda colecta del próximo fin de semana estará dedicada a esta Campaña de Misión. Si dona con cheque, hágalo a nombre de San Gall y anote Misión Appeal 2025 en la línea de notas.

Blessed Virgin Mary. It is a holy day of obligation. Masses on
that day are at 7:00am, 12:10pm and 6:00pm bilingual.

4. It is time to order Offertory envelopes for the year 2026.

1. A Prayer Service for Frank Susztar is this Friday, August 8th, at 1:00pm.

3. A huge ‘Thank You’ to all our rummage volunteers for their
dedication and hard work in preparation for our annual rummage sale. This is a very important fundraiser for the parish and without our volunteers it would not have been accomplished! Kudos to everyone involved!
4. We invite you to join us at St Gall this Wednesday, August 6 th , at 6:00pm for a special bilingual Silver Rose Prayer Service. For the first time ever, the Silver Rose will be at St Gall as part of its pilgrimage from Canada to Mexico. Each stop is a rosary centered occasion for Knights, parishioners, and community members to pray for respect for life, spiritual renewal, and the advancement of the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
