Dates and Times

SAVE the DATES and plan to attend.  St. Gall’s Annual Rummage Sale.

  • Friday, August 4, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 5, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

How to Donate

Donations may be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Rummage Sale Building (called ‘The Barn”), located at 1343 Centerville Lane. It’s the large wood barn behind and north of the church and through the gates.

After the 4 th of July, drop-offs start at the back door of the gym in July from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday – Thursday.  Please, only gently used items (nothing broken, torn, or ripped).

Due to the need to finish preparing for the sale, the last day we will accept drop-offs will be Thursday, July 20th!


Volunteers Needed

St. Gall is always looking for energetic volunteers to help with our rummage sales.  What do you need to qualify as a volunteer?

  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as a member of the team.
  • You DO NOT need to be Catholic.
  • Ability to lift 15-20 pounds and walk (move around) many obstacles that tend to be in the way. (SAFETY is our #1 concern!)
  • Volunteers are needed starting July 5, 2023.
  • Working hours are 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Though you do NOT need to spend the entire day… even 1 or 2 hours at a time is appreciated!

  • Broken or Dirty Furniture
  • Chemicals & Paints
  • Computers
  • Electric Blankets
  • Entertainment Units
  • Humidifiers
  • Mattresses
  • Pianos
  • Printers
  • Skis
  • Televisions
  • Tires

Items Requested for our Volunteers

  • WATER - we are always in need of bottled water. If you can donate a case or 2 it is greatly appreciated!! We tend to go through 2 cases a day.
  • LAUNDRY DETERGENT – Yes, that’s right! The Linen Department washes many of the donated items received.
  • BLACK Sharpie pens - used for labeling boxes, pricing, etc.
  • WINDOW CLEANER - used to clean many of our items.
  • ZIP LOCK TYPE BAGS small, medium, and large, used for sorting and selling small items for sale.
  • PRICE TAGS - various sizes, and with colored sticky dots used to identify items by color/price.

Arranging for a Pickup

We have volunteers who can pick up large items such as couches, tables, chairs, etc. If you are donating these items and require a pickup, call the parish office at 775-782-2852 to schedule a pickup.  When you call be prepared to tell us:

  • Your name, where you live, and your contact information.
  • A description of the items to be picked up.
  • Acknowledgment that these items should be able  to fit in a pickup truck.

PLEASE NOTE: Our pickup crews are all volunteers. The information outlined above will be given to our pickup coordinator and someone will call you back to discuss a date and time that will work for everyone.


Looking for help for pickups

St. Gall Rummage Sale Committee welcomes volunteers who can assist with the pickup of items.

Pickups are done throughout the month of June and in special situations in July.  If you can spare a few hours a day, or a few hours a week.
